Modern Way began its history in 2010 as one of the few Russian companies with Chinese state capital participation. Today, one of the company’s key areas of activity is the organization of cargo transportation between China and Azerbaijan using high-speed container trains. The geography of logistics in Azerbaijan is constantly expanding and we have already established stable cargo shipping from Korea, Thailand, Russia, Central Asia, and Europe.
Cargo transportation from China is part of China’s “One Belt One Road” Initiative, using our own rolling stock and transport containers (large-capacity containers), which allows us to provide our customers with turnkey services.
The company currently has ten offices, one of which is located in Tashkent (opened in 2022), and the others in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Almaty, and the Chinese cities of Shanghai and Harbin. All customer requests for transportation services are processed through these offices. The company operates high-speed container trains along the route: major ports of China – Naushki – Russia – major ports of China.
Today, Modern Way Cross Border Logistics is a railway operator of high-speed container trains. Thanks to government subsidies, the company offers attractive shipping rates that are more competitive than those of other carriers that do not enjoy preferential operating conditions in China. The controlling stake in the company is owned by the Chinese government, represented by the province of Inner Mongolia (PRC), which, given the current situation on the Russian transport and logistics market, is an important guarantee of the company’s financial solvency and its ability to fulfill its obligations.

Our own platforms and containers enable us to provide customers with packing units for shipping goods to Azerbaijan or China. The absence of the need to search for transport containers and railcars significantly simplifies logistics by reducing the number of participants in the transport process.
The main owner of the company is a company established by the Department of Commerce of the People’s Government of China’s Inner Mongolia Province. Modern Way Logistics took part in TransRussia 2024, the region’s largest exhibition of transport and logistics services, warehouse equipment, and technologies.
At the exhibition, we presented our latest services and solutions aimed at optimizing logistics processes and improving delivery efficiency. Each participant received detailed advice from our experts on logistics between China, Europe, Southeast Asia, and CIS countries.
As a result of the exhibition, new contracts were signed, cooperation with existing partners was expanded, and valuable contacts were established with potential customers.
Our company also participated in TransRussia 2023, the largest international exhibition of transport and logistics services in the region.
The exhibition is traditionally held with the support of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the State Duma Committee on Transport and Construction, The Federal Service for Supervision of Transport, and other government agencies.
As one of the main suppliers in the China-Uzbekistan/Russia direction, we presented the latest trends in logistics and discussed current issues in the industry and ways to solve them.
At our booth, every visitor could obtain detailed information about the complex logistics process of transporting goods from China. As a result, major contracts were signed and partnerships with existing customers were further strengthened.
